Please could I have the views of the candidate for PCC on privately held firearms?

Dear Mr Derrick,

If elected, would you guarantee that the community in St Ives Cornwall would be given, or would buy for an agreed sum, the current police station if you decide to close it? Yours sincerely, Morag Robertson Chair, St Ives Community Land Trust

Dear Sir

I am writing to you as you are standing as a candidate for Police Crime Commissioner for Devon & Cornwall police.

I will be testifying to the Statutory Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse against Mr Tony Hogg & the Office of Devon & Cornwall Police Crime Commissioner for their part in collaborating & aiding in the covering up of Child Rape & police misconduct & criminality.

I want to know what ‘YOU’ will do to stamp out the current culture of corruption, dishonest, criminality & discrimination which is harboured & protected within the Devon & Cornwall police force?

My website has already been acknowledged & accepted by the CSA statutory Inquiry as part of my witness testimony against Devon & Cornwall

I would appreciate a response

PS. I am a member of the Labour party

M Lidbury

Below article recently published

What a difference a dog makes.

Being registered disabled, my rescue dog is my wheelchair & why I needed a dog.

NB: This may be VERY, very distressing for some to read.

Imagine what it must be like to have been repeatedly raped by multiple persons over multiple years when as a six year old boy through to when you were age of ten.

Now imagine what it must be like for nearly ALL your adult life (since 1987) when you started to try to speak out to have been victimised, lied too, lied about, threatened, intimidated, bullied, harassed & discriminated against by Cornwall authorities to silence you from speaking out.

This abuse carried out & contributed to by police & every authority you have approached in Cornwall. Not only did & have they repeatedly ignored the multiple child rape you endured, but also these Cornwall authorities have repeatedly carried out institutional discrimination against your adult sexuality & more recently your disability to try to silence you.

Now imagine being additionally driven to attempted suicides (plural), a victim of physical assaults (multiple), criminal damage (repeated), destruction of your businesses, death threats, physical threats, a victim of multiple hate crimes…ALL instigated by police & Cornwall authorities (& even by some charities) in order to silence you from speaking out about discrimination & Child Sexual Abuse you have endured.

Even a court gagging order is obtained to prevent you from speaking about certain aspects regarding video evidence provided to police in 2010. Testimony covered up by corrupt police despite freedom of information act requests to try to access the video.

There is a lot, lot more, but you begin to get the gist.

Then imagine in a determined bid to silence you, police try to have you sectioned as being mentally ill for your repeatedly bringing up, complaining & repeating the assertion of your having been abused, raped as a child & institutional discrimination, but police want to silence you.

The assessment result:

Your assessed (twice) by a police appointed clinical forensic consultant psychologist, but found NOT mentally ill, but in fact entirely ‘logical & rational’. Forensic evidence which is admissible in court.

However, you are clinically assessed as suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, catastrophic trauma. You suffer from severe & painful anxiety panic attacks (as painful as a heart attack) & a form of agoraphobia. Your cognitive symptoms described as like that exhibited by persons repeatedly exposed to life threatening situations (i.e. like that in a war zone).

In fact due to relentless intimidation & abuse you have not left your home in Cornwall on your own since 2007.

Now imagine that none of the health, social or other authorities in Cornwall will lift a finger to assist tackle the adverse impact & effects upon your health & well-being, of years of police & institutional Cornwall authority abuse & discrimination carried out over a decade of being housebound by cognitive disability.

So you take it upon yourself to set about getting a befriender to get you out the house once a week. NB: I cannot thank the Red Cross enough for their help in this when no other authority in Cornwall would help.

Now imagine in 2013 you finally give up with corrupt Devon & Cornwall police after three decades of their police dishonesty, abuse & victimisation from them & you approach a different police force.

Now imagine how you might feel that in just ONE WEEK the other police force identifies one of the child rapists who abused you & who you have been naming to Devon & Cornwall police for thirty years. Imagine how you feel when the other police force informs you that one of the persons/rapists you had been identifying to Devon & Cornwall police for thirty years, but were ignored, bullied & threatened to keep silent….was known & convicted for the abuse six other male children. Abuse repeatedly covered up by police.

Now imagine that suddenly, following the Jimmy Saville scandal, nationally it is recognised how authorities & institutions (like police) have been covering up CSA for decades. Worse. How organisations (like police) have been compounding & perpetuating abuse of child sexual abuse survivor victims by trying to silence them, aided in that perpetuating by police of that abuse by various charities & by other organisations in Cornwall.

You as a child rape survivor victim & sexuality discrimination want to speak out & give evidence to the statutory inquiry against these institutions.

Now imagine that YOU ‘are’ invited to give evidence in person to the statutory inquiry into institutional child sexual abuse in the UK. Your intent to highlight the role authorities & institutions have played in perpetuating & covering up child sexual abuse & institutional discrimination. You want to give evidence against Cornwall authorities, other organisations & in particular against the police.

However, you are faced with a problem. You are housebound by your health & cognitive condition. The accumulative damaging result of years of persecution, discrimination & abuse by police & other authorities & organisations in Cornwall.

Imagine you research on the internet & discover in America there are such aids as Psychiatric Assistance Dogs for persons like you suffering from PTSD. Then you discover that in Britain there is a two year waiting time before you even get on the list for a PAD.

Imagine you are absolutely determined to attend & give testimony evidence against Cornwall authorities & against corrupt police to the Child Sexual Abuse Inquiry…in person.

Your mission becomes to get a dog which will serve as your Psychiatric Assistance dog & enable you to leave the house on your own (with the dog) to attend the statutory inquiry & to help improve your quality of life & health.

Online you see a dog at St Francis dog rescue centre & you take steps to get her.

Three months on:

Now imagine as a disabled person your St Francis rescue dog has become your wheelchair. She enables, by her company, for you to leave the house. She has added exponentially to your quality of life.

You have left the house on your own (with the dog, Tik) more times in the 1st month than you had in total since 2007. You walk a minimum of 21 miles a week, up to 60 miles (and it’s not even the summer yet). You’ve lost over half a stone in weight & your blood pressure has improved to normal.

Most important you can get out of the house

And what of the dog?

She has gained both weight & stamina. She tackles stiles, paddles in streams, both of which she was initially shy of. She will run into the sea…& out again just as quickly, but is not scared of it any more. She will recall off lead…despite being of a breed type known to be wilful & difficult. But then….so is her owner wilful & difficult too.

But most important of all, imagine your rescue dog will now enable you as an independent disabled person to attend the statutory inquiry into child sexual abuse & give evidence testimony against those organisations & authorities in Cornwall, in particular against the police, who have collaborated, bullied, threatened, intimidated, abused & victimised through their police misconduct & dishonesty in order to cover up child rape & institutional discrimination.

In time I hope to regain full self-confidence & not live in a state of perpetual fear of corrupt Cornwall authorities.

What a difference a dog makes, for now she is my wheelchair.

If the Hillsborough tragedy had happened on your watch what would you have done to reduce the 27 year wait and how would you have ensured an unbiased police investigation?

Hi Gareth.

I am sending this message to all candidates for PCC. It relates to a recent blitz on vehicle and related crime in Torbay. First could these resources have been better used in other areas? Second as vehicles are more easily identified than people, is there a case for national ID cards in UK

I would like to know Gareth’s thoughts about Fox Hunting / Badger culling and the role the police play in these activities. Thank you

I would appreciate it if you could advise me on how you propose to deal with wildlife crime and illegal hunting if you were to be successful in your bid to be PCC for Devon and Cornwall.

I would like this directed to Gareth please. As yet I have seen nothing regarding protection of wildlife in our Counties and I would like to know what the position is of Gareth in respect of the imminent badger cull in this area, plus the question of illegal hunting with hounds which is an everyday occurrence during the hunting season. Regarding hunting with dogs, it would seem that in spite of evidence acquired that illegal hunting is rife in both counties, very little is actually done about it with apparent partiality by the police towards supporting the hunts. I welcome your comments please.

Dear Mr Derrick,

> Wilmington is an historic village in East Devon some 3 miles east of Honiton with most of its properties lining the A35 trunk road. Many of these buildings were constructed in previous centuries when the road was only lightly used by horse drawn coaches and carts, and it was safe for residents to stroll through their village and feel a community. Sadly, it’s very different today.

> Police statistics state that 64% of the vehicles passing through our village exceed the speed limit, therefore breaking the law. An average of fifteen thousand vehicles per day, many of these large HGVs, were officially recorded passing though Wilmington in August 2015.

> Serving Devon and Cornwall Police Officers tell us the budget resource to catch speeding motorists has greatly reduced in recent years and is now inadequate to fund an effective number of patrols or speed cameras across the Force Area in order to catch offenders.

> If elected as Devon and Cornwall Police Crime Commissioner, what will you pledge to do to stop the law breaking drivers who endanger the lives of residents and other road users in Wilmington and all other East Devon villages situated along the A35?

> I am a member of The Wilmington A35 Action Group. Supported by our local Parish Council and MP Neil Parish, our Group is trying to make our village safer and as one measure, is soon to implement a Community Speedwatch scheme.

> The Group therefore looks forward to receiving your response as to how you will prevent speed crimes in our village in order to help inform our voting decisions in the forthcoming PCC election.

> Thanks, and kind regards,

> Mary Jeffery (Mrs)

Dear Mr Derrick,

I am interested in your views regarding the recent investigation into alleged Conservative party electoral fraud in the run-up to the 2015 general election.

Kind regards,

Paul Smith

Dear Mr. Derrick,

I am about to vote for a PCC candidate and being an ex serviceman myself and having a strong family connection with the services I am impressed by your credentials.

I am normally a Tory voter but I want to vote for the best candidate regardless. I am however concerned about the terrible hypocracy shown by prominent labour members. I refer of course to the vast wealth and high status acquired by the likes of Tony Blair and Neil Kinnock to name but two.

I am interested in how you resolve this anomaly to your satisfaction.

Dear Mr. Derrick.

If elected, what actual powers do know you will personally have to legislate ie. make, enact or enforce laws. And to ensure any decision you make on the public’s behalf will be carried out by Devon and Cornwall police within a stated time period please?

Thanking you in anticipation,

D. Atkinson.
